Therapy and parent support specializing in attachment trauma, family relationships, and meaningful connection.
Therapy and parent support specializing in trauma, attachment, and meaningful family connection.
Something deeper is asking for attention.
When parenting feels reactive, overwhelming, or disconnected, it’s rarely about discipline or doing more. Often, stress, unmet needs, past experiences, or old patterns show up in moments of big emotion.
I work with parents, children, and families to slow things down, understand what’s happening beneath the behavior, and build relationships rooted in safety, trust, and connection.
You don’t need more advice.
You need support that understands your family.

I work primarily with parents and caregivers who want to:
Feel less reactive and more grounded in everyday parenting moments
Understand emotional outbursts and challenging behaviors with compassion
Repair and strengthen connection after conflict, stress, or trauma
Support children and teens in feeling safe, seen, and understood
Heal patterns rooted in their own childhood experience
My approach centers on connection before correction, helping families move toward secure, meaningful relationships.
While much of my work focuses on parents and families, I also support adults healing attachment trauma as it shows up in relationships more broadly.

Support for families navigating court-involved dynamics, including reunification challenges, using an attachment-focused approach. The work emphasizes emotional safety, relational repair, and skill-building while honoring a child’s pace.
Some families come with experiences that benefit from additional understanding and care. I have experience supporting families navigating:
Foster care and adoptive families
Neurodivergent children and their caregivers
Attachment-related trauma within complex family systems
Support is grounded in emotional safety, connection, and respect for each family’s unique story.

Hi, I’m Maurissa!
I know the power of having a child’s and teenager’s voice heard and honored.
My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. In addition to my clinical background, I bring personal insight into foster care, adoption, and complex family systems. This perspective informs how I approach attachment, trauma, and connection with the families I support.
I understand how early experiences, attachment wounds, and unprocessed trauma can quietly influence how we parent and relate to others. My approach centers on safety, curiosity, and repair, creating space for families to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and rebuild trust over time.
I believe families can heal. I believe connection can be rebuilt. And I believe that when parents are supported, children thrive.
It would be an honor to support you and your family.
In addition to therapy, I offer courses and resources designed to help parents build connection and confidence at their own pace.
Courses and educational resources are available to parents and caregivers worldwide.
An intentional parenting mini-course focused on moving from reactivity to connection.
A year-long guided journal designed to support connection, reflection, and growth in parenting.
Affirmations, guided journals, and practical tools to support connection at home.
If you’re looking for support, clarity, or a deeper connection within your family, I’d love to connect with you!
